How much does a website cost in India?
A business website in India costs from ₹25,000 for a five-page site to ₹1,50,000 and up for a web app or online store. This guide explains what moves the price and what to get in writing before you pay.
The three common price bands
These are 3Bit Digital's own fixed packages. Prices exclude GST and third-party costs such as a domain or paid plugins.
| Package | Price | What you get | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | ₹25,000 | 5-page website | 10 days |
| Grow | ₹60,000 | Up to 15 pages, booking and local SEO | 21 days |
| Build | From ₹1,50,000 | Web app, online store or MVP | 21–45 days |
What makes a website cost more
- Number of pages and templates. Each distinct page layout is design and build work.
- Features that take bookings or payments. Online booking, checkout and customer accounts need testing and security work a brochure site does not.
- Integrations. Connecting WhatsApp, a CRM, a payment gateway or a calendar adds scope.
- Content. If you need copy, photography or product data entered, that is extra unless you supply it.
- Search visibility. Local SEO, schema markup and fast load times are part of the build, not a later add-on.
Costs people forget
- Domain and hosting, billed yearly by the provider.
- GST, usually extra on a quote.
- Maintenance: security updates, backups and small edits. Care plans for any website cost ₹3,000–8,000 a month with 3Bit Digital.
What to ask for in writing
- A fixed price, with a price against each deliverable.
- A delivery date, and weekly builds on a staging link so slippage is visible early.
- Ownership of the code from the first commit, with repository access during the build.
- Handover documentation and credentials at launch.
- What the support window covers after launch.
Is a cheaper website a bad idea?
Not necessarily. A small business that needs a clear page, a phone number and a contact form does not need a custom app. The risk is paying for a site that loads slowly on mobile or does not give visitors an easy way to enquire.
